Salem Village's citizens should have the right to worship whomever or whatever they please. That after all is the reason the people of Salem Village, who were Puritans, a group of people with very strong moral beliefs who thought that the church in England was incomplete and wanted to simplify forms of worship, immigrated to America from Europe to obtain. Not only should the citizens have this right but the government should have a responsibility to protect it. Many people have been persecuted for their religious beliefs; Jews and Jehovah's Witnesses were persecuted during World War II, as well as Jews and then Christians during Bible times. Muslims and many other religions have been persecuted as well. Witches and Satanists were persecuted during the time of the Salem Witch Trials in Europe and New England.
